How to audit a landing page with AI

Review a landing page for message clarity, proof, friction, and a testable next improvement.

Agency Script Editorial · Updated

The problem to solve

When a landing page underperforms, rewriting every sentence makes it hard to learn what mattered. A useful audit isolates where the promise, evidence, or next action becomes unclear.

Read the page as a first-time visitor

Identify what is offered, who it is for, why the claim should be believed, and what happens after the main button. Record where each answer appears. A headline can be elegant and still fail to describe the product. A form can look short while asking for information visitors cannot provide. Review the whole path rather than treating copy and layout as unrelated problems.

Separate a diagnosis from a test idea

Without behavioral data, an auditor can identify likely friction but cannot prove why people leave. Label a proposed change as a hypothesis. Keep the test focused: for example, explain the next step beside the form before changing the audience, offer, and layout together. Define the event that counts as a conversion and make sure the team can measure it consistently.
