How to create a useful blog outline with AI
Build a blog brief around a reader question, original evidence, and a clear takeaway.

The problem to solve
An outline with familiar headings can look complete while adding nothing new. The real work is deciding what the reader needs to understand and what evidence your business can contribute.
Give each section a reason to exist
Start with the question the article promises to answer. Each section should remove a specific uncertainty or help the reader make a decision. If two headings lead to the same explanation, combine them. Add an original example where an abstract instruction would otherwise force the reader to imagine the entire situation.
Make evidence part of the brief
Specify which statements need a source, a product demonstration, or a subject-matter review. Link to existing articles that cover prerequisites instead of re-explaining every concept. An outline should make the writer’s next action clear while leaving space for stronger evidence discovered during drafting. Word count alone cannot establish that the article is useful.

A practical article brief for project handoffs
Fictional editorial assignment. Sources and example permissions would be checked before publication.
Illustrative worked example created for this guide. Fictional business and inputs; not a customer result or a verified product execution.
| Section | Reader question | Original material |
|---|---|---|
| Why handoffs fail | Where does ownership become unclear? | An anonymized handoff example. |
| What a useful handoff contains | What should the next owner receive? | An approved checklist excerpt. |
| How to review the process | How will we know the change helped? | A simple before/after measurement plan. |
What to verify before using the result
- An AI draft still needs factual and editorial review.
- Existing coverage should be checked before creating another URL.
